Katinka Moonen is a Development Consultant specialised in Behavioural Change Communication, gender and Labour Market issues.

She has a master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Amsterdam and studied International Politics and Communication at Université Paris VIII. 

Katinka is currently working for Oxfam Novib as a project leader on multi country projects in Asia and Africa, developing and implementing education entertainment strategies (radio and or drama series with a message) for social change. Prior to that, she has worked for Radio Netherlands Worldwide on several projects, including the development and implementation of an online vote compass for Egypt and Morocco.

Katinka worked with Nehem International on several Labour Market and Human Resources Development projects. In Moldova she set up a Labour Pool- and Vocational Educational Training centre for young women and men. In Egypt Katinka developed a pilot project on increasing socio-economic opportunities for home based working women.
